What’s included in your reception DJ services?

Everything you’ll need.

Music

Unlimited music during cocktail hour, dinner, and your reception. Usually it’s about eight hours total but we don’t charge for more time.

Uplighting

Free uplighting for the entire perimeter of your room is also included at no extra charge.

Microphone

We’ll provide a wireless microphone for speeches and toasts.

Flow

We’ll take care of announcements and introductions as requested, assist with emceeing, and keep things aligned with your desired timing.

How much does the photo booth cost?

$600 - 800

The cost is $800 if booked a la carte.

When booking our photo booth service along with our wedding reception DJ service, we reduce the photo booth cost by 25%, to $600.

How much do you cost?

It depends on which services you're considering.

Most people hire us as both a reception DJ along with a ceremony sound technician, which is $2,000.

We offer standalone reception DJ services for $1700.

Do you offer wedding ceremony services too?

You bet!

We’ll arrive early to handle setting up and sound check, so you’ll never need to worry about the technical stuff. Our ceremony services include high quality speakers and a microphone for your officiant.

We’ve also handled many weddings with stringed instrument groups and we’ve assisted with amplifying their audio.

Do you carry insurance?

Yes.

We’ve been fully insured since 2006 and we’ve had zero incidents. Your guests deserve to enjoy the time of their life with safety and confidence.

Yes please, we love music!

Most often, we can acquire just about anything you’d like us to play.

Before your event, we’ll work with you to create the perfect balance of musical selections that you love along with those jams that will keep your dance floor packed with friends and family.

Will you play requests?

Absolutely. This is your day.

Our DJs will always play requested music when it’s aligned with your wishes and desires for your event.

We’re professional DJs who consider the environment, audience, and flow when deciding what music will come next.

We’ll avoid things like the Chicken Dance altogether, unless you tell us otherwise.

How do you know what music to play?

Communication with you.

Your wedding playlist is like a recipe: two parts your musical taste, one part crowd-pleasers that keep your dance floor moving, a dash of classics, a pinch of pleasant surprises and a generous portion of flow. Mix it all together and you’ve got a deliciously danceable pie of your favorite flavor.

Your DJ knows what ingredients to use because your DJ knows you.

You’ll meet with your DJ before your big day and you’ll determine the style—together. During these meetings, you and your DJ will talk about your vision and your guests.

The majority of our couples have said that of all their vendors, they felt closest to their DJ.

Our DJs care about their couples and truly appreciate the relationships they form throughout the planning process.

Kuhl Entertainment has been in business since 2009. The founder, Josh Kuhl, has been a wedding DJ since 2007. Kuhl Entertainment DJs, as a whole, have over 50 years worth of combined experience. Most of our DJs keep their skills sharp by performing non-wedding events around Madison during the offseason.

How far will you travel from Madison?

Just about anywhere!

Our time is mostly spent in Wisconsin but we’ve been contracted for events in Puerto Rico, California, and Florida.
